Job Description

Senior Trustee Services Adviser – Ipswich - £50,000 to £60,000 p.a. with hybrid working available

A rare opportunity for a candidate with knowledge of the laws surrounding wills and lasting powers of attorney and some experience of dealing with these, to work in a non-legal environment for a professional services firm, based in their Ipswich office but with some working at home each week.

You will be dealing with all aspects of the will writing and power of attorney services, administration of estates and some trusts, including preparation of accounts. You will also assist junior members of the team with their training and development.

Our client is an award-winning firm in their field who genuinely support continued learning and development and reward individual contribution to its continued success. For the right person STEP training will be supported, if not already qualified.

Required Skills:

  • Knowledge of Trust Law, Income Tax, Capital Gains Tax, Inheritance Tax and accounting principals

  • Strong communication skills in reporting to beneficiaries and Co-Executors and Trustees

  • Technical accounting skills in preparing Executorship and Trust accounts that cover the history of the Estate or Trust.

  • The ability to deal with other professionals during the administration of estates and trusts.

  • A good knowledge of the software packages relating to the production of Wills is desirable

  • Full UK driving licence (client visits and/or visits to empty properties will be a requirement of the job holder)
